A breath of fresh air just 10 minutes walk from Clayton Hotel Burlington Road.
Herbert Park is named after Sidney Herbert (1810-1861), the father of the Earl of Pembroke who, in 1903, offered the site to Pembroke Urban District Council for development as a public park. In 1908 after the Dublin International Trades Exhibition the land was developed as a public park. Herbert Park provides amenities such as a tennis, football and a children’s play area right in the centre of the city.
